Selected participants will undergo free specialized training in the skills and techniques needed to mentor others. This will enhance the expertise that they bring from their clinical practice in placement and removal of LARC devices (ParaGard™, Mirena™, Skyla™, Kyleena™, Liletta™ and Nexplanon™). This training program will be led by nationally-renowned expert in women’s health and LARC clinical training programs, Patty Cason, RN, MS, FNP-BC.

Mentors participating in the program receive:

  • A full-day of training in mentorship techniques and skills designed to support clinicians new to LARC
  • Professional clinical coaching during the project period
  • Resources and evaluation tools for mentors based on best practices in LARC placement + removal
  • Free continuing education credits for CME or Nursing
