The Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) 2015 Sexually Transmitted Diseases Treatment Guidelines were released in June. The 2015 guidelines provide clinical updates in sexually transmitted disease (STD) prevention and control, covering evidence-based recommendations for screening and treatment of persons who have, or are at risk for, communicable infections acquired through sexual activity. The guidelines address recommendations for populations at increased risk for STDs and emerging issues in STD control.
